Special Presentations by Visiting Brazilian Fulbright Scholar

On Wednesday, February 8th and Thursday, February 9th of 2012, the Universidad del Este (UNE), of the Ana G. Méndez University System, hosted Mr. Carlos Robles from Brazil, a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at  the Daytona State College, Florida, at  its Carolina Campus.

During his two-day visit to UNE, Mr. Robles delivered two lectures: Brazil, Sensacional!” , which was held at 10:00AM on Thursday, February 9th in the UNE Salón de Actos, and, The Importance of Portuguese in Today’s World”, which was held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 8th at UNE’s Multi Language Learning Center.    Additionally, Professor Robles participated in an interview on UNE’s Internet talk show, Paliqueando.  Mr. Robles also met with UNE faculty members affiliated with the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) organization, as well as with other UNE administrators, faculty and students to discuss study abroad opportunities and collaboration with Brazilian universities.

The Office of the Chancellor and the Office of International, Federal and Corporate Affairs are sponsoring and organizing UNE’s Visiting Fulbright Scholar Lecture series to help internationalize the university.
